Development of Large Capacity Biodiesel Production Facilities.
Crimson Renewable Energy recently completed a 30 million gallon per year multi-feedstock biodiesel production facility in Bakersfield California, the largest biodiesel production plant in California and among the largest in the Western U.S. This facility utilizes used cooking oils and waste animal fats to produce an ultra-low carbon renewable diesel fuel and is one of only a handful of biodiesel facilities in the U.S. that can fully utilize its crude glycerin by-product to produce 99%+ refined glycerin. The Crimson Bakersfield Biodiesel and Glycerin Production Plant was designed by Crimson’s in-house engineering team and features new, innovative techniques and systems for biodiesel production and glycerin refining. Crimson is actively exploring opportunities for the development of additional large capacity biodiesel and glycerin production facilities throughout the U.S.
